My Great Grandpa started his very first Teochew FishSoup Stall in the Old Market i hawker and that was really a long long time ago..... Remembered by the Very pioneer generations, his famous "liu shi tang" or sixty stall fish porridge was remarkable.
Food has a special ability to bring people together. My Grandpa took over his father's stall and later expanded to local coffeeshops where he started bringing in more local delight into his old coffeshop in Tenmile Bukit Timah. From the famous Fish Porridge to MihunKway, his morning Teochew style porridge and braised duck with pig organ. I still remenber his Dry dark soy sauce Fishball beehoon with Lard. Yummy.
I have been cooking for a long time, but that doesn't mean that i continued my Grandpa's delicacy, i mean, My dad did not continue either.
After so long, with my original recipes from my ancestors............ WE ARE BACK!
